Snapchat roadshow to promote it’s IPO
Snapchat is betting big on it’s roadshow and Spectacles ahead of its IPO. The company is seeking a valuation of around 22 billion as it markets it’s IPO in the coming months. There is some concern amounts investors for Snap to focus on software and not hard to manufacture eyewear/hardware. Augmented reality, has not been real successful yet in the general marketplace and many alike projects like Google Glass were a flop. The clear better long term bet advertising revenue for Snap’s app on the iOS & Android marketplaces.
Facebook fires back at Snap with Instagram stories:
Clearly aware of the looming threat that Snapchat brings to Facebook, Zuck & Co answer back with a near identical clone of Snap within Instagram last year labeled ‘stories’.
